The American Livestock Insurance Company was founded in 1952 by Frank Harding
and Clint Thomson. Gentlemen who made their living raising, buying, selling,
importing, and exporting cattle and horses. Guiding principles that made this
company successful remain today.

Farm Owners coverage, insuring the property and liability needs of horse
breeding and training operations was first provided in 1998 and is currently
available in Florida, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, and Virginia.
As a specialty lines carrier the company also provides crop insurance in
selected areas.
